Classification, nomenclature and general standards: GOST 14959-79 Long and shaped rolled products: GOST 2590-2006 The material is supplied in the form of strips, sheets and blocks. We produce rectangular and other shaped parts from forgings or strips according to customers' requests.
Mass fraction of elements not more than, %: Carbon (C) 0,62-0,70; Silicon (Si) 0,17-0,37; Manganese (Mn) 0,9-1,2; Chromium (Cr) up to 0,25; Nickel (Ni) up to 0,25; Copper (Cu) up to 0,2; Phosphorus (P) up to 0,035; Sulphur (S) up to 0,035.
Forging temperature: beginning 1250°С, end 780-760°С. Cooling of billets with cross-section up to 100 mm is done in air, with cross-section 101-300 mm in a mulda. Machinability by cutting: in hot-rolled condition at HB 240, σv = 820 MPa Kν tv.spl. = 0.85, Kν b.st. = 0.80. Weldability: not applicable for welded structures. CTS - without restrictions. Flock sensitivity: not very sensitive Tendency to temper embrittlement: tendency at Mn≥1%.
To improve mechanical properties, steel is subjected to hardening heat treatment depending on the required hardness and strength category (30 - 61 HRc).
Heating to a temperature of 830ºC, quenching in oil. When tempering, heated to a temperature of 200 - 600ºC (depending on the hardness required). Temperature (hardness): 200°C(61 HRc), 400°C(46 HRc), 600°C(30 HRc).
Machine-building equipment, engines, compressors, pumps, tools and accessories: knives, cutting tools, dies, punches, pushers, cold and hot deformation dies, as well as machine parts experiencing increased wear under moderate dynamic loads.
Depending on the steel grade and standard size, delivery is carried out: • 7-14 calendar days in advance for steels available from partner warehouses in the Russian Federation. • in 60 – 120 calendar days for custom-made items of rolled metal and forgings.
